The government’s decision to remove Article 370 from the country’s constitution is being debated in the Rajya Sabha. Most political parties participating in the debate have supported the government’s decision. AIADMK of Tamil Nadu, Biju Janata Dal of Odisha, Shiv Sena of Maharashtra, BSP of Uttar Pradesh, YSR Congress of Andhra Pradesh, Aam Aadmi Party of Delhi supported the removal of this Article of the Constitution giving special rights to Jammu and Kashmir.
However, Congress, Marxist Communist Party (SPIM) and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) of Bihar, MDMK, DMK, P.M. The Trinamool Congress (TMC) of Bengal, Samajwadi Party (SP) of UP opposed it. However, NCP, Congress’s ally in the UPA, has decided to abstain from voting on this proposal. The TDP has supported the government. When the Home Minister Amit Shah was speaking in the House, the protesting MPs were making noise.
Welcoming the resolution to remove Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, the Biju Janata Dal said on Monday that ‘Jammu Kashmir has truly become an integral part of India today.’ Party MP Prasanna Acharya said that this decision has increased the strength of Bharat Mata. He said, “We are waiting for the day when the share of Kashmir under Pakistan will be mixed in India.” He said, “Although we are regional parties and have regional aspirations when it comes to unity, integrity, and security of the country, we are with the whole country.” Acharya said, ‘welcome this resolution. Jammu and Kashmir have truly become an integral part of India today.
Acharya defamed the protest by the members of some opposition parties in protest against the resolution while declaring it to be a constitutional one. AIADMK also supported the resolution for Article 370 removal and the state reorganization bill. AIADMK leader A Navneet Krishnan said his party supports it. He said that Article 370 was a temporary provision. He said that Jai Jayalalitha, the late leader of her party, was interested in maintaining the unity, integrity, and sovereignty of the country.
BSP also with the government
At the same time, BSP MP Satish Chandra Mishra said that with the abolition of Article 370, Muslims from all over the country will have the right to settle in Jammu and Kashmir and build property there, so party chief Mayawati decided to support it. Mishra said, ‘We have also said earlier that we support this bill. Want to give some reason for this. People of the minority community do not live only in Jammu and Kashmir. The Muslim community lives in the whole of the country as much as in Jammu and Kashmir. But, build your property in Jammu and Kashmir, become the inhabitants of the area, their right to this status was so far. But now Muslims, Dalits and backward people across the country have got the right that they will be able to settle in Jammu and Kashmir and build their property there.

Will prosper in Kashmir: Kejriwal
At the same time, Aam Aadmi Party chief and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal welcomed the decision to remove Article 370. He tweeted, ‘We support the government’s decision on J&K. It is hoped that this will bring peace and prosperity in the state. At the same time, Rajya Sabha MP Sushil Kumar Gupta said that it was in the country’s interest to remove Article 370. AIADMK, YSRCP support
AIADMK MP A Navnatakrishnan said that his party is supporting the entire bill introduced by the government in the House regarding Jammu and Kashmir. Referring to clause 2 and section 3 of Article 370 of the Constitution, he said that the decision of the government is purely constitutional.
Supporting the government, YSRCP MP V. Vijayasai Reddy said that the anecdote was haunting the country for 370 years. Thanking the Prime Minister and the Home Minister, he said that now the problem of Jammu and Kashmir will be fully resolved.
Rajya Sabha MP of BPF, Bishwajit Damari, the political party of Assam, linked the Jammu and Kashmir and country’s security to Article 370 and said it was also necessary for the country as well as for the state.
India beheaded: Congress
Taking charge on behalf of the Congress in Rajya Sabha, MP Ghulam Nabi Azad said that today one state has ended from the country. There were 29 states in the country, but now 28 remain because Jammu and Kashmir have become a Union Territory. He said that today the government cut off his head from India. He said, “The day when this law will pass, it will be a dark day of the country’s democracy.”
Azad said that earlier the Prime Minister of Jammu and Kashmir used to be the President, we made the Chief Minister and Governor there and you ended up by bringing them the lieutenant governor. He said that in the battles with China and Pakistan, the Kashmiris side by side with the Indian Army. He said, “If we had success in these battles, then Kashmiris were to get together. Unless the Kashmiris do not give the right input, they will not give any information about the rumor, then it is impossible to win any battle there. Azad said that the American army in Afghanistan was stuck because it did not get the locals’ support there.

Opposing the government’s decision, the Samajwadi Party asked what was needed to make the state a union territory to remove Article 370? He said, “I am not even in favor of deleting Article 370, but if Article 370 had to be withdrawn, he would have removed it, but why did he remove the status of the state?”
Palestine will become Kashmir: RJD
RJD opposed the removal of Article 370 of the Constitution and said that it knows the history of merger of Jammu and Kashmir in India. He read the letters of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru in 1956 and Jayaprakash Narayan written to Indira Gandhi in 1966 and said that Kashmir problem is a product of the mistakes of the central government. He said that today it was decided to make Kashmir a Palestine.
BJP worked against the Constitution: CPI (M)
